Installing the RealPlayer plugin

RealPlayer is required to view the ITO VideoPoint presentations. If you do not have the plugin installed yet, simply install following the steps below. This player, followed by Windows Media Player is the most popular video, slideshow and audio player.

Please note that a free version of the basic player is available here. This player is all that is required to enjoy the ITO videos. Only about 10MB of disc space is needed. If you wish to install a more recent free player from the web,  see 3  below.

These video presentations bring together three media; video, audio and the PowerPoint into one synchronized presentation.

To enjoy this multi-media recording of the symposium, please ensure RealPlayer is installed.

2. Installing the free version


The setup is very simple. Click here to start the setup and "Open" or "Run".

To install, click "Next", "Accept", "Next".

When reaching the page shown on the
left, we suggest deselecting all options.

Suggest "Keep my current home page".


If you see a Personalize & Registration
page, as shown here on the left, simply
"Cancel", then "Exit".

You may be reminded your player is
"Out of date" - ignore this.



3. Installing from the web

More recent versions of RealPlayer may be downloaded from the www.real.com website. There is usually a link to the free player version on the top right of the screen.



4. Un-installing RealPlayer

This may be done simply by clicking on "Start" (bottom left of windows screen), "Parameters", "Control Panel" and "Add/delete programs". Find RealPlayer Basic in the scrolling menu and "Delete".
